I’ve really enjoyed the past reunions (thanks to those stalwart few who have made them so successful) and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with so many of you again. Where I’ve been over the last 50 years (the short(er) version): BA International Affairs from George Washington University, lots of “finding myself” and “survival” jobs: surveyor’s assistant with US Forest Service in Idaho, house painter, clothing salesman, boat carpenter, yacht broker, etc.; Career Stuff: Russian Linguist with Naval Security Group (active duty) and NSA (civilian), Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer, civilian Intelligence Officer with Navy Task Force 168, Naval Intelligence Command, and DIA, including overseas tours in Athens and Munich. Retired in 2007 as head of HUMINT Collection Operations at the Office of Naval Intelligence. Married to Dawn Williams of Georgetown, DE (celebrating 21 years this month). No kids, but three nieces, one nephew, and one black cocker spaniel who, together and separately, pleasantly dominate our lives. Home base is Annapolis where I enjoy sailing, fly fishing, film photography, and still trying to play clarinet, sax, and guitar. Dawn still works as an administrator at the Library of Congress, is a great cook, and an extraordinarily indulgent spouse.
