I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in biology in 1971. That fall I married Donna Suter from Harrisonburg and we moved to Fredericksburg (where we still live). We have one son and two granddaughters. I worked for the Virginia Dept. of Environmental Quality until I retired in 2002. Since retiring we have both been active in our church and traveling to visit our son and grandkids (he is a Coast Guard helicopter pilot and moves every couple of years).
